If you're a morning person, then every morning is a fresh chance to take control of the day and make it your own.

Not one for the mornings? Let's just say that when you naturally awaken from a restful night of sleep, you probably don't sit up and stretch.

Instead, you could grumble at your alarm and repeatedly press the snooze button. In an effort to wake up, you drag yourself out from under your warm duvet and stumble groggily from room to room while gulping coffee. You wonder how it gotta be so late.

Set your alarm for success

Shaking off that lingering morning grogginess, or sleep inertia, may be as simple as updating your old-fashioned buzzer alarm to a more melodic tone. Waking up to a melodic alarm — think the pop song, rhythmic instrumental tune, or natural sounds like birdsong — may help wake you gently instead of jarring you abruptly from dreamland. Preferred music can help reduce grogginess after napping. In other words, choosing the alarm tone you actually like may have the most benefit.

Let the light in

No matter how much you may not know it, natural light plays a significant role in your morning routine. You could say that sunlight helps "wind up" your internal clock. Early in themorning, facing the bright light of the sun can assist your body know it is time to awaken, making you more alert before you've even made it to the coffee maker. Of course, natural light doesn't simply help you wake up; it can also make you feel sleepier later in the day, which makes it simpler to go to bed on time. And what better way to start the day than with the joy of a good night's sleep?

Have a healthy breakfast

A well-balanced, high-protein breakfast fills more than just your empty tummy. Additionally, it gives you energy and nourishment for the upcoming day. Even though breakfast isn't required, it can offer your morning a satisfying boost if you choose better foods like whole grains, whole fruits, and veggies, as well as proteins like eggs or plain yoghurt.

Also, remember to drink plenty of water. Along with a glass of simple water, balanced breakfast can also include coffee or green or black tea. Why not try the water filter from Pentair Rocean.

Journal or meditate or do both

Even though there are advantages to meditation at any time of day, beginning a morning meditation routine can help you relax, gather your thoughts, and create a mindful objective for the day.

For many people, meditation is very beneficial for reducing stress and calming anxious feelings. If you typically find that morning worries and disappointments establish a bad mood for your day, meditation can help by increasing self-compassion and self-kindness.

Activate your enjoyment

Your morning routine doesn't just have to be about getting things done and being productive. Making time for activities you actually deeply appreciate might make mornings something to look forward to rather than dread.
